Momma always served marinated mushrooms in a dark green, smooth crystal bowl on Christmas Eve at our home in south Louisiana. Every year. No exceptions. Momma says she's had this recipe since my oldest sister, Adrienne, was at Ascension Catholic Elementary School in 1982.
